Mr. Karim Wanga is a pharmacist by training, holding a Master’s degree in Pharmacy with a focus on Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance from the University of Nairobi. He is also a fellow in Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Currently, Mr. Wanga serves as a Senior Principal Regulatory Officer at the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) in the Department of Product Safety. With over ten years of experience at PPB, he has contributed to various regulatory functions, including regulatory inspections, pharmacovigilance, and post-marketing surveillance. He has a particular interest in drug utilization studies and medicines regulatory sciences.
