Dr. Mariam Raouf Wefky Ghobrial
Dr. Mariam Raouf is a healthcare professional currently serving as Technical Officer (Lifesciences) at ACCESS Health International Egypt. She holds an MBA in Strategic Management and is a pharmacist, having graduated with honors from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University in 2009. Mariam has over a decade of experience in the Egyptian healthcare sector, beginning her career in market research and as a medical representative. She later joined the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, where she played a key role in developing biological registration regulations. As part of the taskforce, she helped introduce Egypt’s first biosimilar guidelines and served as lead assessor for CTD files concerning vaccines, antisera, human plasma-derived products, and biotechnological products. Most recently, Mariam served as General Manager of Export Support and Investment Promotion at the Egyptian Drug Authority. In this role, she advanced her skills in data analysis and market gap identification, facilitating collaborations between the public and private sectors. She successfully helped open new African markets for Egyptian pharmaceutical products by facilitating MoUs with regulatory authorities in Zimbabwe and Zambia, securing sustainable market access
