Dr. Shereen Abdelgawad
Shereen Abdelgawad is currently the Head of the Central Administration of Pharmaceutical Care at the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA). Shereen has more than 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical regulatory affairs with a focus on public policy. She also holds two master’s degrees, one in Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy, and the other one in Public Policy.
Shereen is dedicated to enhancing pharmaceutical care practices, promoting patient safety, and improving pharmaceutical policies. She plays key roles in formulating strategic frameworks, implementing the institutional excellence system, and leading self-care initiatives at EDA.
Furthermore, she serves as the Chair of the National Committee of Antimicrobials rational use and the Committee of national guidelines and lists, aiming at enhancing pharmaceutical care through the rational use of antimicrobials and the development of essential medicines lists.
In addition to her current role, Shereen has held several leadership positions, including manager of the Technical Office of the Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Affairs.
