Ezekiel Mukanga is a distinguished Artificial Intelligence Expert and Digital Transformation Leader. He has been leading the Digital and Data Transformation workstream for the African Medicines Agency (AMA), a specialized institution of the African Union. Ezekiel also chairs the SADC (ZAZIBONA IMS Technical Committee).

He has held several senior leadership roles across key national institutions, including heading ICT departments at the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) which saw MCAZ reach WHO ML3 and also benchmarked for ML4 , prior to joining MCAZ , Ezekiel lead the ICT Divisions of the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE), the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA), and Akribos Financial Investments.

With over 12 years of regulatory experience, he has developed systems for regulators from the unique vantage point of having served as a regulator himself.
