Ms. Mary Kinyanjui is a regulatory affairs professional with over a decade of experience supporting regulatory strategy, market access, and compliance for medical devices and in vitro diagnostics across Africa. She currently serves as Senior Specialist, Commercial Regulatory Affairs at Cepheid, where she leads regulatory activities across East, West, and North Africa, working closely with regulatory authorities, industry stakeholders, and healthcare partners to facilitate access to innovative diagnostic technologies.

Throughout her career, Mary has developed extensive experience navigating diverse regulatory environments and advancing regulatory convergence, reliance, and harmonization initiatives across the continent. Her work focuses on enabling timely patient access to safe, effective, and high-quality medical technologies while supporting regulatory systems that are proportionate, science-based, and sustainable.

Mary has also played an active leadership role within the industry, serving as Vice Chair of the Medical Devices Association of Kenya (MEDAK) from 2023 to 2024. In this capacity, she contributed to industry-regulator engagement, policy discussions, and advocacy efforts aimed at strengthening the medical technology ecosystem in Kenya and the broader East African region.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Mary is a passionate advocate for human sustainability and wellbeing.
