Nihal Shah is CEO of Biodeal Laboratories Ltd. and Vice Chairman of the Federation of Kenya Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (FKPM). He leads Biodeal’s growth as a Kenyan pharmaceutical manufacturer serving markets across East Africa, with a focus on quality, operational excellence and access to affordable medicines.

Through FKPM, Nihal advocates for policies that enable African manufacturers to invest, compete and strengthen regional medicine supply. His perspective combines the practical challenges of running a manufacturing business with industry work on regulation, market access and regional trade. As an AFRISUMMIT moderator, he brings these perspectives to discussions on how Africa can build a stronger and more resilient pharmaceutical industry.
