Anthony Martin Toroitich is a regulatory specialist and executive leader with over 19 years of experience in medicines regulation, institutional governance and regulatory systems strengthening at national, regional and international levels.

He currently serves as Director, Corporate Services at the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB), Kenya, and as a Senior Quality Assessor with the World Health Organization (WHO) Prequalification Team. His expertise spans regulatory compliance, quality systems, statutory frameworks, regulatory harmonisation, digital transformation and multi-stakeholder governance.

Anthony has supported regulatory strengthening initiatives across Africa, South-East Asia and the Western Pacific. He previously served as Lead Regional Consultant for the World Bank, contributing to regulatory harmonisation initiatives across the Horn of Africa.

A pharmacist and accredited Change Management Practitioner, his work focuses on strengthening regulatory systems and improving access to safe, quality-assured essential medicines and medical products through strategic leadership, policy reform and international collaboration.

Anthony holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Analysis from De Montfort University, UK; an MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences with Distinction from the University of Greenwich, UK; and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Makerere University, Uganda. He has also undertaken specialised training in change management, quality of medical products and public health, strategic leadership, and procurement and supply.
